Digital receipt for carriers: end the paper receipt and the deductions

The receiver signs on screen, the driver takes the photo, the app records GPS and time — and the receipt becomes a PDF proof linked to the NF-e and the CT-e, in the dashboard, at the moment of unloading.

The digital receipt is the electronic version of the invoice’s paper receipt: instead of the receiver signing the slip that comes back days later (or never), they sign on the driver’s phone screen while the driver photographs the cargo or the document; the app records geolocation and date/time and generates a PDF proof linked to the NF-e and the CT-e. On the CT-e there is an official Proof of Delivery event (110180) that replaces the DACTE’s (the CT-e’s printed companion document) paper receipt (Ajuste SINIEF 09/2007, clause 18-A). In BrainCargo the digital receipt is part of proof of delivery: it works offline, reaches the dashboard at the moment of unloading, can be searched by NF-e or CT-e and feeds invoicing.

The cost of the paper receipt isn’t the paper: it’s the shipper’s deduction for a proof that never came back, the invoicing that waits for the paperwork to come back and the time someone spends looking for invoice no. 440508’s receipt in a box. The digital receipt cuts all three because the proof is created at unloading and stays indexed by invoice.

For the driver who doesn’t install an app — a contracted owner-operator — WhatsApp receives the receipt photo and records it as proof; the QR-code trip sheet does the same with no login.

What you can achieve

0

receipts waiting for the paperwork to come back

The proof reaches the dashboard the instant of unloading, with photo, signature, GPS and time.

NF-e

is the search key

Every proof stays linked to the NF-e and the CT-e; finding the receipt is typing the invoice number.

PDF

for the shipper

PDF proof and a public tracking link — the deduction loses its argument.

Offline

without losing records

The app records without signal and syncs when the network returns.

Why this module

Proof at the instant of unloading

Photo, signature, GPS and time — the receipt stops traveling back.

Indexed by invoice

Search by NF-e or CT-e; no more box of receipts.

The CT-e’s electronic proof

Event 110180 replaces the DACTE’s paper receipt before the tax authority.

App-free as well

WhatsApp and the QR-code trip sheet for the driver who installs nothing.

How the digital receipt works, in 4 steps

  1. The delivery reaches the driver

Through the app (or the QR-code trip sheet), with the load’s NF-e and CT-e.

  2. At unloading, photo and signature

The receiver signs on screen and gives their name; the driver photographs the cargo or the receipt; the app records GPS and time.

  3. The proof is created linked to the invoice

Photo, signature, receiver details and location become a PDF linked to the NF-e and CT-e, in the dashboard, instantly.

  4. Invoicing and the shipper

Financials invoices with the proof in the system; the shipper sees it via the public link or WhatsApp.

Frequently asked questions

Does the digital receipt have legal validity?

The electronic proof with the receiver’s signature, photo, geolocation and timestamp is evidence of delivery; on the CT-e, the Proof of Delivery event (110180) is the official record replacing the DACTE’s paper receipt (Ajuste SINIEF 09/2007, clause 18-A). Contractual acceptance by the shipper consolidates the practice.

What is the “canhoto” (the signed delivery stub)?

It is the stub of the DANFE (or the DACTE, on the CT-e) that the receiver signs to prove they received the goods. The digital receipt replaces that paper signature with the on-screen signature, plus photo, GPS and time.

How do I do the digital receipt without the driver installing an app?

Over WhatsApp: the bot asks for the signed receipt photo and records it as delivery proof, with GPS and time; or through the QR-code trip sheet, which opens a public page to check off deliveries with no login.

How do I find the receipt of an old invoice?

By searching the NF-e or CT-e number in the dashboard: the PDF proof stays linked to the document, with date, driver and receiver.

Does the digital receipt work without internet?

Yes. The app records photo, signature and GPS offline and syncs when the network returns; no proof is lost.
