Mandatory Toll Voucher issued with the CIOT — free*

The Mandatory Toll Voucher (VPO) is the freight contractor’s advance payment of tolls to the carrier, required by Law No. 10,209/2001 on every road-freight operation for third parties. Since 2025 the operation is 100% electronic: the VPO is issued by providers accredited by the road-transport regulator (ANTT), tied to the vehicle’s plate and the route, with RNTRC (carrier registry) validation. In BrainCargo, the toll voucher is calculated from the route and issued together with the trip’s CIOT (freight-operation identifier) and MDF-e (electronic manifest of fiscal documents), across the market’s main providers — Sem Parar, ConectCar, Veloe, Move Mais and Repom. On plans from 150 CIOT issuances per month, the voucher issuance fee is free — the toll itself is always advanced by the freight contractor, as the law requires.

Issuing the CIOT (freight-operation identifier) on one platform and the toll voucher on another means paying twice — in fees and in rework. Issuers that only generate the CIOT leave the VPO to you: another account, another system, another place where the trip can stall. In BrainCargo, the toll voucher comes out in the same flow as the CIOT and the MDF-e, tied to the trip’s plate and route.
